What a great couple of days at the Sister's Market in Brunswick! So many people coming through made it our best market day ever, with lots of friendly faces and last minute Christmas shopping. Here are some of the things that sugarmouse had on offer. All our dolls were purchased, so we hope there are some very happy little girls on Christmas morning.
Thank you to all who visited us and supported Melbourne's creative, crafty folk.
We will be back next year at Northcote Town Hall, hooray!!

For some reason, I love Little Red Riding Hood ( I don't think a Little Pink Riding Hood would have had the same impact). I have had great fun putting these dolls together and each is a one-off, using a combo of different fabrics. These sold really well at the market - they are a cuddle doll with a detatchable cape, made using felt and cotton. The face is hand embroidered and although I use the same techniques for the eyes, cheeks and mouth, somehow each Little Red comes out with her own unique facial expression! I will have some gorgeous hair ties with Little Red on them for sale as well.

I have just finished a series of these pieces - hand-embroidered and appliqued on linen. The idea came to me after watching some beautiful hot air balloons float over our house one sunny Melbourne morning. I have girls in balloons as well as the boy above. These will be on sale at the Sister's Market on April 2 and other dates later in the year.
